The Council
 Every
Oregon county maintains a Local Public Safety Coordinating Council (LPSCC)
which strives to coordinate the use of state and local resources to manage
local offenders and local, criminal justice policy.
Multnomah County's Public Safety Council is chaired by Judy Shiprack, Multnomah
County Commissioner from District 3. Members include over 30 justice agency
heads, elected officials, educators, service providers, and citizens. The Council
meets once a year to review current "hot topics" in the criminal
justice system and to review the progress of the working groups.
